Abstract

The monograph reveals the genesis and evolution of scientific thought and legislation regarding the essence of the concept of “criminal extortion”. The content of the elements of the forensic characteristic of extortion is detailed and the relationship between the forensic and criminal-legal characteristics of extortion is revealed. The content of the methods of extortion associated with the use of violence against the victim is determined and analyzed, its forensically significant features are highlighted and revealed. The features of using information about the identity of the criminal in the investigation of extortion associated with the use of violence against the victim are established.
