| dc.description.abstract | The article deals with the experience of the parochial schools (the end of the 19th – the beginning of the 20th century) regarding the methodological support for teaching mathematics. In particular, the most popular textbooks and manuals are described as the basis of methodological support of parochial schools, such as: O. Goldenberg “Collection of problems and examples for teaching elementary arithmetic” (1897), “Methods of elementary arithmetic” (1892); O. Voronov “Collection of arithmetic problems and examples for public schools” (1883); S. Rachinsky “1001 tasks for mental accounts” (1892), “Arithmetic fun”, “Geometric fun” (1901); V. Yevtushevsky “Collection of arithmetic problems and numerical examples for the preparatory and systematic course” (1903); S. Shokhor-Trotsky “Arithmetic exercise book for elementary school students with methodological instructions and with the 304 appendix a) a list of answers to the problem “Collection for students "and b) tables for classroom exercises in oral calculations” (1896), “Arithmetic for elementary schools” (1903), “Visual and visual aids in teaching arithmetic” (1904); T.Lubenets “Arithmetic collection, which mainly includes data on agriculture”. Whole numbers. “ Collection of arithmetic problems for teaching elementary arithmetic in public schools” (1890), “Collection of arithmetic problems includes data mainly from rural life” (1904). It is proved that the peculiarity of textbooks and manuals on mathematics of the period under study consists in a combination of traditions and innovation, in ensuring continuity in the development of school textbooks. Both positive and negative aspects of the phenomenon under study are described, changes in educational methodological literature on mathematics in this period are described, their pedagogical significance in the educational process of parochial schools is revealed | en |
