Abstract

The paper investigates the composition design features of Ukrainian satiric edition in the early 20th century that stipulated the special character of content and influence on the readership, defined the role of satiric edition as a publicistic factor of activation and development of Ukrainian national liberation movement. The author analyzes the permanent elements of title page design; the system of pseudo headings, or pseudo genre headings; the balanced combination of graphic and verbal publications; the specific of providing information about the authors and editorial staff etc.
