Abstract

The article analyzes the concept of political participation, the conditions and forms of its realization in the context of political rights and freedoms. It identifies main types of participation – conventional and unconventional, as well as formal and informal, depending on the presence of citizenship. It emphasizes that political participation is a form of the exercise of citizens’ political rights and an integral part of democracy.
