У статті розглядаються основні методологічні проблеми дослідження функціональних аспектів сучасної державності. Висвітлюються сучасні концепції щодо розуміння поняття та сутності функцій держави. Показане значення функціонального методу у процесі пізнання соціального призначення сучасної держави.
