Посилення захисту прав на ринку фінансових послуг шлях до відновлення довіри споживачів

Abstract

The article deals with a number of changes to the current legislation on protection of interests of the consumers of financial services, which relate to the following areas: establishment of powers of state bodies on protection of rights and definition of the basic principles of such protection; increasing the responsibility of financial institutions for consumer rights violations; establishment of uniform requirements for advertising of financial services and the procedure for its provision, consolidation of signs of unfair advertising; disclosure of information about financial services, the procedure and conditions of activity of financial institutions and more. The publication justifies the need for more effective resolution of conflicts arising in the financial services market and finding alternative ways to resolve them. One such mechanism in Ukraine is to establish a financial ombudsman institute.
