Abstract

The specifics of banking activity make it possible for risks to arise both in active and in passive banks’operations. Among the passive operations the most important ones are the risks connected with the implementation of deposit operations, which are the main source of banking resources. The current research is about the essence of deposit risks of banks, the regularity of their manifestation, features of evaluation and formation of a set of measures for their minimization on the basis of taking into account the whole set of factors that lead to the occurrence of the appropriate risk situation. The article deals with the issues of formation, analysis and estimation of deposit risks. The dynamics of changes in the volume of client portfolio and deposits for the first quarter of 2018 have been analyzed. The main tool for estimation of the level of deposit risk is highlighted.
