The article empirically assesses the relationship between external price conditions and Ukraine’s economic dynamics amidst global trade conflicts. Based on official quarterly data from the State Statistics Service of Ukraine for 2016–2025, linear simple regression models were constructed to analyze the dependence of real GDP growth rates on the rates of change in average export prices for goods; these models were estimated separately for the period prior to the full-scale invasion and the period of the full-scale war. The statistical quality of the models was verified using the coefficient of determination, Student’s t-test, Fisher’s F-test, and the Durbin-Watson test. It was established that there is no stable simultaneous relationship between price trends and economic dynamics in any of the periods. The key finding is a qualitative shift in the nature of the relationship: the regression coefficient changes sign from positive to negative, reflecting the displacement of the price channel by non-price constraints—such as port blockades, the destruction of production facilities, and security factors. It is substantiated that, during periods of security challenges, the removal of non-price constraints acquires priority importance for economic stability.
