Ленд-ліз в СРСР: продовольча компонента

Abstract

The article deals with the organization of food supplies to the Soviet Union on the Lend-Lease system. The reasons that caused their necessity and importance for the needs of the current army and the rear were determined. It was determined that the greatest importance in foreign food supplies was made by bakery products, animal and vegetable fats, sugar, canned food and concentrates. It was concluded that food supplies helped not only keep the situation on the front, but also had humanitarian aspects, saving tens and hundreds of lives in the Soviet rear.
