Abstract

The types and structure of mathematical statements in the course of algebra and the beginnings of analysis are analysed. The statements that should be proved and the logical foundations and rational methods of their proving are determined. Approaches to the study of theoretical statements of certain topics of the algebra course and the beginnings of analysis are proposed. Specific methodological recommendations for teaching pupils to prove these statements are developed.
