Abstract

The paper examines the influence of urbanization processes on the economic development of Ukrainian cities with the aim of developing recommendations for their regulation in the context of the formation of an economically favorable environment in cities. The essence of urbanization as a global economic process was considered and determined, the phenomenon of "new urbanism" as an ideology of the development of a modern city was introduced, the modern features of urbanization processes in Ukraine were studied, the impact of urbanization on the economic development of Kyiv was studied.
